An interesting mix at a function in 1955: (l. to r.)
Betty Blythe, silent screen femme fatale,
Hank Mann, silent screen slapstick comic,
Susan Cabot, 1950s starlet,
Mack Sennett, legendary silent screen slapstick producer and innovator, and
Peggie Castle, 1950s starlet. The veterans enjoyed long lives but both of the starlets died tragically, Cabot murdered by her own son, and Castle, an incurable alcoholic whose life had completely unravelled, of a heart attack.
I enjoy the old films and reading about the lives of those I met in them .. Thanks for your input.
