a Broadway soubrette of some note - "TheFaithful Heart," "The Dancers" (1923) - Flora Sheffield had come to New York with her actor brother Reginald Sheffield but by 1930 both Sheffields answered the call of the new sound pictures and relocated to Hollywood. but while Reginald established himself as a busy character actor and would become even more famous as the real-life father of Tarzan's boy Johnny Sheffield, Flora made but two motion picture appearances. Alonggwith another newcomer, June Collyer, she provided ingenue prettiness as Kitty in CHARLEY'S AUNT (1930), with Charles Ruggles as the eponymous Charley, and a supporting role in the first talkie version of that age-old barnstormer EAST LYNNE. That was pretty much it for Miss Sheffield who died age 70 in 1968. Henry Byron Warner abd Sheffield 1925
