From my collection: Ralph Lewis
Reading about the 1915 D.W. Griffith Poe adaptation The Avenging Conscience in American Silent Horror (McFarland, 2012) by John T. Soister, et al. (highly recommended not coincidentally), I came across the actor Ralph Lewis, one of the Griffith stable of performers. Lewis was killed in a car accident in 1938 but another, much younger actor by the same name popped up in such genre films as The Utah Kid (1944), Dillinger (1945) and The Flying Serpent (1946). For future research it may be useful to add a photo of the younger Ralph Lewis who, as far as can be determined, was no relation to the Griffith actor. Considering the sparse information regarding this performer - the credits are about it - I'm hoping, nay, counting on, help from readers.
