Overlooked by a typical LA billboard is this modest home once (1940s) belonging to Edward Cassidy (1893-1968) , a stalwart character actor who more than anyone came to symbolize the aging B Western lawman, doctor or heroine's father. A block north of trendy Melrose Ave.,the home is within walking distance of the erstwhile Gower Gulch where B Western regulars such as stunt riders and would-be townspeople garhered in hope of day jobs.
