MÄRTA TOREN in "Casbah"

The very first glimpse of the new Ingrid Bergman," Swedish import Märta Torèn in Casbah, a weak 1949 musical (!) remake of "Pepe le Moko" and "Algiers." Torèn collapsed from a cerebral hemorrhage while on stage in her native Stockholm February 19, 1957, dying later that evening at the hospital. She was 30.
